    Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.27%

    The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.27 per cent down at 12241.35.

    NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Thursday.

    Shares of Natco Pharma(up 0.5 per cent) and Pfizer(up 0.06 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

    On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 3.5 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 3.2 per cent), Granules India(down 2.87 per cent), Sanofi India(down 2.39 per cent) and Zydus Lifesciences(down 2.07 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

    The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.27 per cent down at 12241.35.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 51.8 points at 18129.95, while the BSE Sensex stood down 128.9 points at 61431.74.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 ended in the green, while 37 closed in the red.

    Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Zomato, Vodafone Idea and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

    Shares of GE T&D India, The Anup Engg, Tilaknagar Ind, Aptech and Quicktouch Technolog hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SITI Networks, Jakharia Fabric, Viji Finance, Cerebra Integrat and SEL Manufact hit their fresh 52-week lows.
