Cops reunite 23 kids lost at beach with their parents

MUMBAI: D B Marg police on Thursday found 23 children, aged between seven and 14, who went missing in and around Girgaum Chowpatty during Ganpati immersions and reunited them with their parents.
Senior police inspector Vinay Ghorpade and his team found the children who had gone missing in the crowd of Ganpati devotees. “A few children said they knew their home address so we took them there and handed them over to their families,” said an officer from D B Marg police station.

Devotees bid adieu to Ganpati amid cheers, immerse idols
The Ganesh idol immersion festivities came to an end in Prayagraj, with devotees immersing idols of the lord in the river Ganga, Yamuna, and a pond at Andhwa. The celebrations were filled with dancing, singing, and offering of prasad. Around 400 idols were immersed at Andhawa and in makeshift ponds. This year, the city followed the immersion traditions of Maharashtra and other parts of the country. People in Prayagraj have also switched to using environmentally friendly idols made of husk and clay.
