PATTERN
The Rigmor Tee is worked in the round on a circular needle from the bottom up with raglan decreases to
shape the yoke. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles (or on a long circular needle
using the Magic Loop technique). Stitches are bound off for the neck opening and at the end stitches are
picked up and knitted for the neck ribbed edge. The Rigmor Tee has a feminine and simple lace pattern on
both body and sleeves. The chart for the lace pattern can be found at the end of the pattern.

Size guide and measurements

Note that the measurements given in the pattern (corresponding to the finished dimensions of the tee) are
only valid if the design is worked in the correct gauge.
The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-
95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½)
39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ (51¼-55) 55-59 inches]. The Rigmor Tee is designed to have approx. 7-10
cm [2¾-4 inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 7-10 cm [2¾-4 inches] larger in
circumference than your bust measurement. This means that if you for example measure 90 cm [35½ inches]
around your bust (measure yourself with a measuring tape around your bust or the widest part of your upper
body), you should knit a size S. A size S tee has a bust circumference of 100 cm [39½ inches] which in the
given example will give you 10 cm [4 inches] of positive ease.
The model in the photos has a bust circumference of 82 cm [32¼] and is 164 cm [approx. 5 feet 4 inches]
tall and is wearing a size XS Rigmor Tee.

Lace chart
The chart for the lace pattern can be found on page 8 (body) and page 9 (sleeves). The chart is read from
right to left and from the bottom to the top. To the right of the chart the key for reading the symbols can be
found. The lace pattern is symmetrical around the raglan stitches, meaning there will always be the same
distance from the raglan to the pattern on both front and back and on both sleeves.

Decreases
The decreases are worked on both sides of the 2 raglan sts, so they either slant right (k2tog and p2tog) or
left (skp and p2tog tbl). See video at www.petiteknit.com.
The decreases are worked as follows:
K2tog: Knit 2 stitches together.
P2tog: Purl 2 stitches together.
Skp: Slip 1 stitch knit-wise, k1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch.
P2tog tbl: Purl 2 stitches together through the back loops.

Body
The body is worked in the round on a circular needle. First, a rib edge is worked at the hem and then the
lace pattern is worked to the armholes.
2
Cast on 200 (220) 220 (240) 260 (280) 300 (320) 340 sts on a 3 mm [US2½] / 80 cm [32 inches] circular
needle using the Italian cast-on technique. Join in the round, making sure that the cast-on edge is not
twisted, and place a marker for the beginning of the round (right side of body).

Work 2 rounds of double knitting, as follows:

Round 1: *K1, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the yarn held in front*, repeat from * to * to end of round.
Round 2: *Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the yarn held in back, p1*, repeat from * to * to end of round.

Work 4 cm [1½ inches] in the round in 1x1 rib (k1, p1) for all sizes.

Change to a 3.5 mm [US4] / 80 or 100 cm [32 or 40 inches] circular needle and work 5 rounds in stockinette
stitch.
Work chart for body (page 8) a total of 4 (4) 4 (4) 4 (5) 5 (5) 5 times (i.e., for a total of 80 (80) 80 (80) 80 (100)
100 (100) 100 rounds).
Then work rounds 1-6 (1-6) 1-16 (1-16) 1-16 (1-6) 1-6 (1-6) 1-16 of the chart once more.
The work now measures approx. 32 (32) 36 (36) 36 (39) 39 (39) 42 cm [12½ (12½) 14¼ (14¼) 14¼ (15¼) 15¼
(15¼) 16½ inches].
Note that if the body is worked as above and at the correct gauge the finished tee will have the length
indicated on the first page of the pattern. If you would like a longer or shorter Rigmor Tee, you can extend
or shorten the body by 20 rounds (a full repeat of the chart) which is approx. 6 cm [2¼ inches].

Now divide the work into front and back as follows: Bind off 3 (3) 3 (3) 8 (8) 8 (13) 13 sts, work 95 (105) 105
(115) 115 (125) 135 (135) 145 sts in charted pattern (back), bind off 5 (5) 5 (5) 15 (15) 15 (25) 25 sts, work 95
(105) 105 (115) 115 (125) 135 (135) 145 sts in charted pattern (front), bind off 2 (2) 2 (2) 7 (7) 7 (12) 12 sts.
There are now a total of 190 (210) 210 (230) 230 (250) 270 (270) 290 sts on the needles.
Break the yarn and let the work rest.

Sleeves
The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the Magic
Loop technique. First a rib edge is worked, then the lace pattern. The lace pattern is symmetrical on both
sides in relation to the beginning of the round.

Cast on 76 (76) 76 (86) 96 (96) 96 (106) 116 sts on 3 mm [US2½] needles using the Italian cast-on technique.
Join in the round, making sure that the cast-on edge is not twisted, and place a marker for the beginning of
the round, which is at the center of the underside of the sleeve or underarm.

Work 2 rounds in double knitting, as follows:

Round 1: *K1, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the yarn held in front*, repeat from * to * to end of round.
Round 2: *Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the yarn held in back, p1*, repeat from * to * to end of round.

3
Work 4 cm [1½ inches] in the round in 1x1 rib (k1, p1) for all sizes.

Change to 3.5 mm [US4] needles and work 5 rounds in stockinette stitch.

Work chart for sleeve (page 9), repeating the sts in the outlined square 3 (3) 3 (4) 4 (4) 4 (5) 5 times (i.e.
across the first 60 (60) 60 (80) 80 (80) 80 (100) 100 sts of the round). There are now 16 (16) 16 (6) 16 (16) 16
(6) 16 sts left on the round and these sts are worked according to the section of the chart that is outside the
outlined square (i.e. to the left of the outlined square and ending at the place indicated for your size).
Work the 20 rounds of the chart, then work rounds 1-6 of the chart once more (i.e. a total of 31 rounds incl.
the 5 rounds of stockinette stitch at the beginning).
The sleeve now measures approx. 14 cm [5½ inches] from the cast on edge.

Now bind off sts at the underarm, as follows:

Bind off 3 (3) 3 (3) 8 (8) 8 (13) 13 sts, work 71 (71) 71 (81) 81 (81) 81 (81) 91 sts in charted pattern, bind off 2
(2) 2 (2) 7 (7) 7 (12) 12 sts. There are now a total of 71 (71) 71 (81) 81 (81) 81 (81) 91 sts on the needles.

Break the yarn and work a second sleeve the same way as the first.

Raglan yoke
Now join the body and sleeve on the same 3.5 mm [US4] circular needle and work the yoke in the lace
pattern and with raglan decreases. Work as follows:
Round 1: K2 (raglan sts) on the body sts, place marker, knit 91 (101) 101 (111) 111 (121) 131 (131) 141
sts (back), place marker, k2 (raglan sts), place marker, knit 71 (71) 71 (81) 81 (81) 81 (81) 91
sts (left sleeve), place marker, k2 (raglan sts), place marker, knit 91 (101) 101 (111) 111 (121)
131 (131) 141 sts (front), place marker, k2 (raglan sts), place marker, knit 71 (71) 71 (81) 81 (81)
81 (81) 91 sts (right sleeve), place marker. There are now a total of 332 (352) 352 (392) 392 (412)
432 (432) 472 sts on the needles.

A total of 8 markers have been placed on the needles, and these are placed on both sides of 2 raglan sts a
total of 4 places on the round. Raglan decreases are now worked on both sides of these raglan sts. The
beginning of the round is now between the back and the right sleeve.

The rest of the tee is worked in the charted pattern of both front, back and sleeves.
Please note that there must always be 6 knit sts after and 7 knit sts before the raglan decreases on the
first round of the pattern. This ensures that the distance between the raglan and the pattern is the same on
both front, back and sleeves.

Work raglan decreases every other round as follows:

Round 1: *K2 (raglan sts), k2tog, work until 2 sts before next marker, skp*, repeat from * to * a total of 4
times (8 sts have been decreased).
Round 2: Knit across.

4
Repeat Round 1 and 2 a total of 16 (16) 16 (21) 21 (21) 21 (21) 26 times (i.e., until a total of 16 (16) 16 (21)
21 (21) 21 (21) 26 rounds of raglan decreases have been worked), but do not work the final round after the
last round of decreases, so you end right after the last decrease round. There are now a total of 204 (224)
224 (224) 224 (244) 264 (264) 264 sts on the needle.

Distribution of sts: 2 sts (raglan sts), 59 (69) 69 (69) 69 (79) 89 (89) 89 sts (back), 2 sts (raglan sts), 39 (39) 39
(39) 39 (39) 39 (39) 39 sts (left sleeve), 2 sts (raglan sts), 59 (69) 69 (69) 69 (79) 89 (89) 89 sts (front), 2 sts
(raglan sts), 39 (39) 39 (39) 39 (39) 39 (39) 39 sts (right sleeve).
The next round is a round without raglan decreases.

Now the neckline is shaped by binding off sts on the front of the tee and then working back and forth on
the needle, while at the same time working the lace pattern and working decreases as established.

Begin by binding off sts on the front as follows:

Round 1: K2 (raglan sts), work in pattern as established across the back, k2 (raglan sts), work in pattern
as established across the right sleeve, k2 (raglan sts), work 23 (26) 26 (28) 27 (29) 32 (32) 34
work in pattern as established, bind off 13 (17) 17 (13) 15 (21) 25 (25) 21 sts for the neck, work
in pattern as established to end of round.

Break the yarn. Move the beginning of the round to right after the bound off sts on the front and rejoin the
yarn here to begin knitting, starting with a RS row.

Work back and forth as described below. Note that for size S, M, L, XL, 2XL there is a ”half” repeat of the
lace pattern close to the neck edge on both sides on the first few rows – these can be omitted for a cleaner
look.

Work as follows:
Row 1 (RS): Bind off 3 (4) 4 (4) 4 (5) 5 (5) 6 sts, *work in pattern as established to 2 sts before marker,
skp, k2 (raglan sts), k2tog*, work from * to * a total of 4 times, work in pattern as established
to end of row (8 sts have been decreased).
Row 2 (WS): Bind off 3 (4) 4 (4) 4 (5) 5 (5) 6 sts, purl to end of row.

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 another 3 (3) 3 (4) 4 (4) 4 (4) 4 times, while binding off 3, 2, 1 (3, 2, 1) 3, 2, 1 (3, 3, 2, 1)
3, 3, 2, 1 (4, 3, 2, 1) 4, 3, 2, 1 (4, 3, 2, 1) 4, 3, 2, 1 sts on the following repeats.
A total of 20 (20) 20 (26) 26 (26) 26 (26) 31 raglan decrease rows/rounds have been worked. There are now
a total of 141 (155) 155 (145) 143 (153) 169 (169) 171 sts on the needles.

Distribution of sts: 10 (12) 12 (10) 9 (9) 12 (12) 13 sts (right front), 2 sts (raglan sts), 31 (31) 31 (29) 29 (29) 29
(29) 29 sts (right sleeve), 2 sts (raglan sts), 51 (61) 61 (59) 59 (69) 79 (79) 79 sts (back), 2 sts (raglan sts), 31
(31) 31 (29) 29 (29) 29 (29) 29 sts (left sleeve), 2 sts (raglan sts), 10 (12) 12 (10) 9 (9) 12 (12) 13 sts (left front).

5
Now work back and forth without binding off any more sts on the front as follows:
Row 1 (RS): *Work in pattern as established to 2 sts before marker, skp, k2 (raglan sts), k2tog*, work
from * to * a total of 4 times, work in pattern as established to end of row (8 sts have been
decreased).
Row 2 (WS): Purl across.

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 a total of 9 (11) 11 (9) 8 (8) 11 (11) 12 times, until there is 1 stitch left on both sides of
the front before the raglan sts (a total of 29 (31) 31 (35) 34 (34) 37 (37) 43 raglan decrease rows/rounds have
been worked). There are now a total of 69 (67) 67 (73) 79 (89) 81 (81) 75 sts on the needles.

Distribution of sts: 1 stitch (right side of front), 2 sts (raglan sts), 13 (9) 9 (11) 13 (13) 7 (7) 5 sts (right sleeve),
2 sts (raglan sts), 33 (39) 39 (41) 43 (53) 57 (57) 55 sts (back), 2 sts (raglan sts), 13 (9) 9 (11) 13 (13) 7 (7) 5 sts
(left sleeve), 2 sts (raglan sts), 1 stitch (left side of front).

Continue as established, while the front decreases are worked over the raglan and sleeve sts as follows:
Row 1 (RS): Skp, k1, k2tog, work in pattern as established across the right sleeve to 2 sts before
marker, skp, k2 (raglan sts), k2tog, work in pattern as established across the back to 2 sts
before marker, skp, k2 (raglan sts), k2tog, work in pattern as established across the left
sleeve to 2 sts before marker, skp, k1, k2tog (8 sts have been decreased).
Row 2 (WS): P2tog, work in pattern to the last 2 sts, p2tog tbl (2 sts have been decreased).
Row 3 (RS): Skp, work in pattern as established across the right sleeve to 2 sts before marker, skp, k2
(raglan sts), k2tog, work in pattern as established across the back to 2 sts before marker,
skp, k2 (raglan sts), k2tog, work in pattern as established across the left sleeve to the last
2 sts, k2tog (6 sts have been decreased).
Row 4 (WS): P2tog, work in pattern to the last 2 sts, p2tog tbl (2 sts have been decreased).

Repeat Rows 3 and 4 a total of 2 (2) 2 (1) 2 (2) 1 (1) 1 times, BUT for sizes XS, L, XL, 2XL a new pattern
repeat is not started even through the chart indicates it.
A total of 32 (34) 34 (37) 37 (37) 39 (39) 45 raglan decrease rows/rounds have now been worked on the back.
There are now a total of 43 (41) 41 (55) 53 (63) 63 (63) 57 sts on the needles.
Bind off all sts.

Neck edge
Pick up and knit approx. 122 (130) 130 (132) 132 (154) 160 (160) 154 sts with a 3 mm [US2½] / 40 cm [16
inches] circular needle across the neckline for the rib edge. This is the approx. equivalent of picking up 1
stitch for every bound off stitch all the way around as well as 1 stitch for every row.
Join in the round, place a marker to indicate the beginning of the round, and work 10 rounds in 1x1 rib (k1,
p1) for all sizes.

6
Work 2 rounds in double knitting before binding off using the Italian bind-off technique (see video at
www.petiteknit.com), as follows:
Round 1: *K1, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the yarn held in front*, repeat from * to * to end of round.
Round 2: *Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with the yarn held in back, p1*, repeat from * to * to end of round.

Bind off using the Italian bind-off technique – preferably slightly tightly (see video at www.petiteknit.com).

Finishing
Weave in all ends and sew together the holes at each underarm.
