    State Bank of India: The state-run bank raised nearly Rs 9,000 crore via a primary bond sale in which India’s two large domestic institutional investors – Life Insurance Corporation and Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) participated, dealers said.

    YES Bank, Zee Entertainment: The Bombay High Court has rejected private lender YES Bank‘s petition to prevent Zee Entertainment from disposing off assets to a third party terming that a letter of comfort issued by the company cannot be considered a personal guarantee.

    Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea: Telecom operators Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea are likely to file additional applications seeking spectrum for 5G trials in which they will not include Chinese vendors Huawei and ZTE, PTI reported citing sources.

    Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: Generic drugmaker Dr Reddy’s Laboratories launched antiviral drug Avigan (favipiravir) tablets, currently being manufactured by innovator Japanese drug giant Fujifilm Toyama Chemical Co, for the potential treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 patients in India, which accounts for nearly a third of the world’s coronavirus cases.

    Ruchi Soya Industries: Patanjali Group firm Ruchi Soya reported 13 per cent decline in its net profit to Rs 12.25 crore for the first quarter ended June, and announced the resignation of Acharya Balkrishna as managing director of the company.

    Muthoot Finance: Muthoot Finance on Wednesday reported a 52 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 858 crore in the first quarter ended June of the current fiscal year.

    MOIL, Indian Overseas Bank: Madhucon Projects, Healthcare Global Enterprises, Indian Overseas Bank, MOIL, Salora International, IRB InVit Fund, Modern India are among companies that are slated to announce their June quarter earnings on Thursday.

    DLF: The joint venture between Hines, the international real estate firm and DLF, the largest publicly listed real estate developer in India, has secured a construction loan of Rs 2,600 crore from HDFC Ltd.

    Zee Learn: Essel group firm Zee Learn on Wednesday said its Managing Director Ajey kumar has resigned from the company.

    JSW Steel: In a move that could delay the plans of JSW Steel to acquire scam riddled, Bhushan Power and Steel Ltd (BPSL), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday carried out searches at the premises of the resolution professional and a former director of BPSL.

    V2Retail: The company reported a standalone net loss of Rs 8.92 crore for the first quarter ended June. The retailer had reported a net profit of Rs 11.44 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

    CSB Bank: Canadian billionaire Prem Watsa promoted CSB Bank (erstwhile Catholic Syrian Bank) which was considering merger opportunities with old generation private sector banks, feels it will only reconsider the plans once the impact of the pandemic is over.

    Karnataka Bank: Private lender Karnataka Bank has appointed Justice AV Chandrashekar and Pradeep Kumar Panja as additional directors at its board meeting held on Wednesday.
