Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 10.01 crore), Indian Renewable(number of shares traded: 7.97 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 5.88 crore), TV18 Broadcast(number of shares traded: 5.40 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 4.86 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 4.33 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 3.49 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 3.33 crore), Power Finance Corp.(number of shares traded: 2.92 crore) and Ibull Housing Fin(number of shares traded: 2.74 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:27AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 141.5 points up at 20274.65, while BSE Sensex was up 518.45 points at 67506.89 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 4.04 per cent), ITC Ltd.(up 2.52 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.50 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.43 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Wipro Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.88 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.55 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.39 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
