A 52-year-old woman from Hebbal has filed a criminal complaint against senior BJP functionary Katta Subramanya Naidu and two others, accusing them of threatening to kill her for campaigning for Congress.

BENGALURU: A 52-year-old woman from Hebbal has filed a criminal complaint against senior BJP functionary Katta Subramanya Naidu and two others, accusing them of threatening to kill her for campaigning for Congress.
Naidu’s son Katta Jagadish is the BJP candidate from Hebbal constituency.
In the FIR registered by Hebbal police, Naidu is the prime suspect, and Abhaya Raju and Puneet are the others named.They’ve been booked under IPC sections 506 (act with criminal intimidation), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 448 (house trespass).
The woman said the incident took place on Tuesday when she had gone out for campaigning and the suspects visited her house. On learning that she was not there, the men called her on her mobile. “They called me from three numbers and threatened to murder me if I continued to campaign for Congress. They ordered me to start campaigning for BJP,” her complaint read.
Cops said they are verifying the allegations.
