Did you know Bigg Boss Malayalam 6's Saranya Anand played the ghost in Akashaganga 2?
Saranya Anand, a familiar face in the Bigg Boss Malayalam 6 house, is not just winning hearts with her modesty and sporting spirit, but also surprising viewers with her versatile talents outside the BB house. While many know her as the formidable Vedhika from the popular television series Kudumbavilakku, there's more to her repertoire than meets the eye.

Did you know that Saranya Anand once essayed the role of a revenge-seeking ghost in the Malayalam horror thriller Akashaganga 2? In the movie directed by Vinayan, Saranya portrayed the character of Ganga, a disfigured spirit seeking vengeance after being burnt alive. Despite undergoing a transformation that made her almost unrecognizable, Saranya's portrayal of the eerie and intense character left a lasting impression on audiences.

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Saranya shared insights into her decision to take on the challenging role. "I always trust my intuitions. When director Vinayan sir called me for the role of Ganga - the ghost, I didn’t think twice," said the actress. She further explained, "I have watched the prequel ('Akashaganga') and knew that the ghost plays a pivotal role in the film." Despite being accustomed to playing lead roles in films like 'Thanaha' and 'Laughing Apartment Near Girinagar', Saranya embraced the opportunity to portray a character that required her to go almost 'faceless' and de-glam.
Reflecting on her decision, Saranya emphasized her commitment to her craft, stating, "It’s true, no girl likes to see herself in a de-glam or disfigured avatar, but I trusted the team and I see myself as a passionate actress. Rather than doing a role, getting fame and vanishing away, I would love to see myself grow like Nayanthara."

Saranya Anand's journey from portraying a haunting ghost on the silver screen to charming audiences with her warmth and authenticity in the Bigg Boss Malayalam 6 house undoubtedly makes her a versatitle artist to look upon.
