'House of the Dragon' teaser: First footage of the 'Game of Thrones' prequel is here and it has it all - Targaryens, the Iron Throne and dragons

'Dreams didn’t make us kings. Dragons did,' is just the line any 'Game Of Thrones' fan needs to get excited for this upcoming series.
The HBO prequel series that is based on saga writer George R R Martin’s Fire & Blood, House of Dragon is about over 200 years prior to the 'fall of the throne'. It and tells the story of House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil warfare often called the Dance of the Dragons.
"Gods. Kings. Fire. Blood. @HouseOfDragon is coming to HBO Max in 2022," read the post on the series' official handle.

The teaser gives us glimpses of the lead cast including Emma D'Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Steve Toussaint as The Sea Snake, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower and Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower. It also features brief glimpses of an Iron Throne much different from the one we've seen, sword fights, the Targaryen family and just the hint of a dragon.

'House of the Dragon' that also stars actors Paddy Considine, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best and Sonoya Mizuno, was one of the four remaining spinoffs in the works at the network.
HBO is working on multiple live-action series, and is also has animated spin-offs set in the universe.

'House of the Dragon' is due to arrive in 2022.
