Burke County is located within the Augusta Judicial Circuit of the Superior Court Tenth District.

In addition to the Superior Court the people of Burke County are served by a Probate Court, a Juvenile Court, a Magistrate Court, five Municipal Courts and a State Court.

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia has jurisdiction in Burke County. Appeals from the Southern District go to the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
