We had an epic time hosting this year's West Texas Women in Conservation Retreat at our Davis Mountains Preserve. Cheers to the next generation of conservationists!
NRI research specialist Dr. Sarah Turner recently helped lead the 2024 West Texas Women in Conservation Retreat, hosted by The Nature Conservancy in Texas at the Davis Mountains Preserve. This is a 5 day hands-on conservation camp for undergraduate women interested in natural resources. Topics included botany (led by Dr. Turner), mist netting, field skills, fire and forestry, landowner communication, and more. This was a great week full of mentorship and field learning opportunities! #WomenInSTEM #conservation
