Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:19AM

Emami Ltd.(up 10.20%), Umang Dairies Ltd.(up 6.90%), Jyothy Labs Ltd.(up 6.25%), Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd.(up 4.34%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(up 3.70%), Honasa Consumer Ltd.(up 3.59%), LT Foods Ltd.(up 3.01%), Gillette India Ltd.(up 2.85%), Patanjali Foods Ltd.(up 2.81%) and Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd.(up 2.04%) were among the top gainers.

Future Consumer Ltd.(down 5.89%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.80%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.53%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.46%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(down 0.43%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(down 0.41%), Varun Beverages Ltd.(down 0.33%), Hindustan Foods Ltd.(down 0.28%) and Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd.(down 0.13%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 61.81 points up at 24072.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 177.9 points at 79210.63 at around 10:19AM.

Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.29%), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.79%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.51%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.49%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.44%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.38%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.3%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.24%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.15%) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.79%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, NTPC Ltd.(down 1.96%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.97%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.97%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.95%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.81%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.69%), State Bank of India(down 0.54%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.5%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.5%) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.41%) were trading in the red.
