Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.39% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:29AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 3.45 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.01 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.82 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 0.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 2.63 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.79 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.78 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.39 per cent at 1100.4 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 67.46 points at 24078.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 183.05 points at 79215.78.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, RattanIndia Power, Indian Renewable and Motherson Sumi were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Roto Pumps, Nahar Poly Film, Wockhardt, GRP Ltd and NBI Industrial hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ortel Communications, Akme Fintrade(India, Suumaya Lifestyle, Eurotex Ind and IndInfravit Trust hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
