Hyderabad: Justice K Lakshman of the Telangana high court on Thursday sought to know the stand of the state in a petition filed by advocate Rajendra Prasad from Mahabubnagar, who was urging the court to quash the case filed against him by the Mahabubnagar police.
He was named in the FIR booked by police consequent to the orders of a trial court in Hyderabad that heard the petition filed by Ch Raghavendra Raju, a resident of Mahabubnagar against excise minister V Srinivas Goud, charging him with filing a false affidavit in the 2018 assembly election from the Mahabubnagar assembly constituency.
The judge gave notice to Raghavendra Raju also and sought replies from him and the state within a week. TNN
