Esha Deol made her debut in the industry in 2002 with 'Koi Mere Dil Se Puche'. Just before her, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ameesha Patel had also made their debut. Kareena starrerd alongside Abhishek Bachchan in 'Refugee' while Ameesha was seen in 'Kaho Naa..Pyaar Hai' alongside Hrithik Roshan. A while ago, Ameesha had said in an interview that during those times star kids were snatching away all the roles.
She had said during a chat with Bollywood Hungama, "When I entered the film industry, I only had film actors’ kids or producers’ kids enter with me, it was Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Tushar Kapoor, Esha Deol, Fardeen Khan, you name it, you turn your head and it was a film family third generation person coming in." She further added that, she was an outsider and was considered a snob and a bitch on the sets because she did not gossip, she rather chose to read.
Hence, the industry kids would grab all the movies.
Esha Deol has now reacted to Ameesha's remark and rather, she has a contradicting story. Esha said during a chat with India Today, "My thoughts are very different. I think we were all very busy with our own lot of what we were given. I’ve had some wonderful friendships with the girls back then, and I think no one snatched anyone’s role to my knowledge."
She further added, "Everyone was very friendly, all the girls, even the men very friendly, very warm, it was really nice. I think we were all doing so much work and had so much to do. It is not that any one of us was sitting without work."
Esha was recently seen celebrating 20 years of her film 'Yuva' directed by Mani Ratnam, which saw her alongside Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, Rani Mukerji and Kareena.
