Viraat-Sanjana Anand film's title, Royal, was inspired by Gen Z’s mantra

Viraat and Sanjana Anand have begun shooting for their new film Royal, helmed by Dinakar Thoogudeepa, who returns to direction after a hiatus.
Dinakar says, “Everyone wants to live life royally, which has been the mantra of today’s generation. That is the reason why we went ahead with the title Royal. The film has love, romance and action. A pukka commercial film, it is pacey, and more than the story, we experimented with the screenplay.”

Refuting all speculation, director Dinakar is categoric that the story was not written for the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, “I would like to clarify that the film I was supposed to direct Puneeth in was penned by me.
This story is written by Raghu Niduvalli. They are not connected in any way,” he says.
