It’s Love Guru Rajendran to the rescue

From starting out as a terrifying villain, actor Rajendran, popularly known as Mottai Rajendran, has become a sought-after comedian, with his distinctive raspy voice. Now, the actor will be seen playing a love guru in the upcoming film Naanum Single Dhaan, which stars Dinesh and debutant Deepti Shetty in lead roles.
“Rajendran will be seen as an RJ in a London radio station. His character, called Mr Love, is a love guru who helps out youngsters facing relationship troubles.He will be seen helping out Dinesh in his romance,” informs R Gopi, the film’s director. A significant portion of the film has been shot in London, he adds.
Talking about the film, he says, “It’s a romantic comedy that will talk about the romantic adventures of the 90s kids. Dinesh plays a tattoo artiste while Deepti, who has acted in a few Telugu and Malayalam films, will be seen as an IT girl.” Mano Bala and Madras fame Rama are playing the parents of Dinesh in the film.
Hitesh Manjunath, a former assistant of AR Rahman, is composing the music of the film.
