Yashika turns a cop for Sulphur; Siddharth Vipin to play the villain

Yashika Aannand will be playing a cop in a newly launched film titled Sulphur. Directed by debutant Bhuvan, the film will have music composer and actor Siddharth Vipin playing the antagonist!
The director tells us, “In contrast to her glamorous image, Yashika will be playing a serious role as a young woman who aspires to become a sub-inspector in this film. She gets posted to the police control room, and there, one day, she gets a call and starts investigating a kidnapping case, which will pit her against Siddharth’s character.”
Bhuvan informs that he has initially approached Siddharth, who has so far been seen only in comic roles, for another role in the film, but after seeing him in person, felt he would be perfect for the role of the villain.
"He has lost some weight now and his physique will be right for this character. After agreeing to come on board this film, Siddharth even went to the popular acting school Koothupattarai and attended an acting workshop there to hone his acting skills to play this role convincingly," reveals the filmmaker.
In addition to acting in the film, Siddharth will also be composing the music, he informs.
The film will be set in Chennai. The poojai of the film will happen in Chennai tomorrow, and the team will be starting to shoot tomorrow itself. "We are planning to shoot this film in around 50 days, though not in a single stretch; we will have quite a few schedules," adds the director.
