Trading in Options on Futures in the commodities that are traded in MCX have witnessed enhanced participation periodically ever since they were introduced in 2017 & the expectation is it will continue to grow monumentally. There is therefore an increased need to make the financial & derivative market participants aware of broad aspects about Options trading. The primary objective of MCOP is to augment the understanding of commodity market participants, traders, portfolio managers & investors about key aspects like settlement, devolvement & how multiple Option strategies can be effected for profit maximization & risk management purpose. It will also broaden the understanding of Options on Futures contracts amongst students about pricing fundamentals, pay-offs & Option Greeks.
To obtain the certification of MCOP, the candidate will have to pass an assessment based on Multiple Choice Questions, which is online, and AI proctored so it can be given from anywhere remotely. The candidate can select a date online within 12 months of registration. After clearing the assessment, the candidate will be awarded the MCOP certification.
