Overview

MCX’s technology infrastructure is the foundation of our business and a key factor in the Exchange’s development. The Exchange’s online trading platfor m is accessible to our members through our trader workstation or computer-to-computer link (“CTCL”) using multiple connectivity media including Point to Point (P2P) lines, MPLS leased lines and the internet via VPN.

Connectivity

The Online trading system of the Exchange is accessible to its Members through multiple modes of connectivity such as Leased Line (Point to Point and MultiProtocol Label Switching MPLS) and Internet. Network latency may vary depending upon the mode of connectivity and the geographical distance between Member’s trading location and the Exchange.

CTCL

Exchange provides a trading front end ‘TWSTM (Trader Workstation) for trading to members of the Exchange. Exchange also allows members to expand their trading facility using API (Application Program Interface). API consists of a set of data structures that allow member to develop his own software to connect and transact with the Exchange. This facility is called Computer-to-Computer Link (CTCL) facility and is available only to trading members of the Exchange.

Datafeed

The Exchange provides information relating to commodity instruments traded on the Exchange, together with the spot prices of such commodity instruments, and other information relating to the commodities traded on the Exchange, collectively known as the "Datafeed".
