Jangoan is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Telangana and is part of Bhongir Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Jangoan falls in Jangaon district and North Telangana region of Telangana. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,90,969 voters in the seat, which includes 96,045 male voters, and 94,916 female voters.
In the 2018 Telangana elections, Jangoan recorded a voter turnout of 85.58%. In 2014 the turnout was 80.53%.
During the 2018 elections, TRS candidate Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy won the seat and defeated Lakshmaiah Ponnala of the Indian National Congress (INC). The TRS leader registered a victory by a margin of 29,568 votes.
During the 2014 elections, the seat was won by TRS' Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy who got 84,074 votes and defeated INC candidate Ponnala Lakshmaiah by a margin of 32,695 votes. Ponnala Lakshmaiah secured a total of 51,379 votes.
According to the dates, the polls in Telangana will be held in one phase on November 30 and the results will be announced on December 3.
