Wardhanapet Assembly constituency is a SC reserved constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly, India. It is one among 12 constituencies in Warangal district. It covers the suburbs of the City of Warangal and part of Warangal Lok Sabha constituency. Aroori Ramesh of Telangana Rashtra Samithi won the seat with over 86,000 majority in 2014 Telangana Assembly Elections.
In the 2018 elections, the BRS's Aroori Ramesh emerged triumphant, garnering an impressive 131,252 votes, which accounted for a dominant 69.59% of the total valid votes. The election witnessed a significant voter turnout of 83.02%, illustrating the constituency's active and engaged electorate. Aroori Ramesh’s victory was marked by a substantial majority of 99,240 votes, reflecting a clear endorsement by the constituency's electorate.
Rewinding to the 2014 elections, the TRS’s Aroori Ramesh secured victory with 1,71,254 votes, representing a commanding 86.04% of the total votes, marking the election with a remarkable majority of 86,349 votes. This election saw a voter turnout of 78.09%, indicative of the constituency’s active participation in the democratic process.
