Nizamabad (Rural) is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Telangana and is part of the Nizamabad Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. This constituency is located in the Nizamabad district within the North Telangana region of Telangana and is classified as a rural seat.
The Nizamabad (Rural) constituency comprises a total of 199,051 registered voters, with 93,441 being male voters and 105,596 being female voters. In the 2018 Telangana elections, this constituency witnessed a voter turnout of 78.85%, while in the 2014 elections, the turnout was recorded at 72.51%.
In 2018 the Nizamabad (Rural) constituency of Telangana, Baji Reddy Goverdhan emerged victorious in the election, securing a total of 87,976 votes. He defeated Rekulapally Bhoopathi Reddy from the Indian National Congress, who received 58,330 votes. The winning margin for Baji Reddy Goverdhan was 29,646 votes.
In the 2014 election, Goverdhan Baji Reddy, representing the TRS, secured a victory in the Nizamabad (Rural) constituency with a margin of 26,547 votes, which represented 15.81% of the total votes cast. Goverdhan Baji Reddy received 46.52% of the total votes polled in that election.
