Telangana is all set to choose its next Chief Minister next month. One of the constituencies is Makthal, which comes under Mahabubnagar district of Telangana State. The constituency is predominantly rural and has a total population of around 1,98,163 voters in the seat, which includes 98,029 male voters, and 1,00,116 female voters. According to the data released in 2011 by the Census board, the total literacy rate of Makthal Mandal is 51.79%. There are total of 119 constituencies in the Telangana state. The Election Commission of India has issued the schedule for the Telangana polls according to which, the date for the last nomination is November 10 and the election date is November 30. The results will be out on December 3. The last election took place in 2018, where Chittem Rammohan Reddy of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won the seat by defeating Jalander Reddy an independent with a margin of 48315 votes. Reddy got 78538 votes, which means 47.77% of voters turned out to vote for him. Surprisingly, in 2014 even, Chittem Ram Mohan Reddy won the election but at that time he was contesting from Congress. Telanga was made a new state on June 2 2014 so till now only two elections have taken place so it will be fun to see who wins the third election, will Reddy make its hat trick in Makthal or not?
