Miryalaguda Constituency is an assembly constituency located in the Nalgonda district of Telangana.
As per the 2011 Census estimates, the constituency has a population of 287,323 comprising 63.48% rural population and 36.52% urban. The ratio of Scheduled Caste to total population is 15.29 and that of scheduled tribe to total is 18.36.
In the political world, Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is the current MLA from this constituency after he won the assembly elections in 2018 against Indian National Congress’ (INC) R. Krishnaiah by a margin of 30,652 votes. The voter turnout in this election was 85.34%. There were a total over 1.77 lakh voters comprising over 88 thousand male voters and over 89.3 thousand female voters, according to the official election commission data.
In 2014 also, Bhaskar Rao Nallamothu was the winning candidate but at the time he represented the Congress and won against TRS candidate Alugubelli Amarender Reddy by a margin of 6.054 votes.
The 2023 assembly elections polling in Telangana is set to begin on November 30 for 119 constituencies with final counting on December 3.
