MY FIRST TRIP TO STAR WARS: GALAXY'S EDGE PART 2: THE RIDES

I was able to wander through Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge for the first time on August 28 and September 3. In my last post I wrote about my general impressions of the land. Here, I will go into detail about my experiences on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run and Rise of the Resistance. Rise has gained quite a reputation in its short life as a vexing attraction. The ride experiences frequent breakdowns, and infamously, was recently and literally struck by lightning . RISE OF THE RESISTANCE First off, here's how you get your spot in the virtual queue: Get into Disney's Hollywood Studios by 10 a.m., or "rope drop." Be sure you are inside the park entrance by this time. Have the My Disney Experience app open on your phone. Scroll down a bit on the app to find the Rise of Resistance section. At precisely 10 a.m., hit the "JOIN" button. Like, do it the first second you're able to. And don't be on the park's Wi-Fi. Just be on whatever network you su

Code Name Magic Roundabout - A Short Musical Video On The Millennium Falcon Being Built At Pembroke Dock, Wales.

This is a little musical film inspired by the stories of the original makers of the Millennium Falcon spaceship for the film The Empire Strikes Back. The credit sequence features unseen photographs of the build. This was a self funded community film project but we are hoping to find funding to develop the project. A huge thank you to the wonderfully hilarious original crew and the people of Pembroke Dock... ‘In spring 1979, Marcon Fabrications, a heavy engineering firm that served the UK's petrochemical and oil industries, was hired to build a movable full-scale external model capable of "moving as if it were about to take off." Built in secrecy under the project code name Magic Roundabout, the company leased the 1930s Western Sunderland Flying Boat hangar in Pembroke Dock, West Wales. The model, which took three months to construct, weighed over 25 tons, measured 65 feet in diameter and 20 feet high, and used compressed air hover pads for up to 1.5 inches of hover-

This Picture Explains Why The Millennium Falcon Looks Like The Way It Does.

I've always wondered why the Millennium Falcon  looks like the way it does.  Why was the cockpit on the side and has a fork front?  It's a freight pusher.  Those freights are the most common ones used in the Star Wars universe.  Now I know why the Falcon had so little cargo space. I'll be honest, I'm not sure if this is canon but it does explain a lot.  Can anyone verify this? Here's an Imperial Cargo Ship doing the same transportation. Home Made Gummy Millennium Falcon

Check out this wonderfully appetizing Millennium Falcon made out of Jelly (or Jello if you live in the U.S.) A fan decided to make the Star Wars ship out of jelly.  I think it turned out rather well, although I would have preferred it without the fruit but I certainly wouldn't turn down a piece.  It should be renamed to the Millennyum Falcon.
